This morning a flock of birds flew over the dock. Their frenzy broke the quietness and stillness of the bayou.

The old man at the park told me to keep my eyes open for dolphins. He knows I love to see the dolphins.
He said, "There must be a school of mullet close by. The birds and the dolphins eat the mullet. Yea, you might be seeing some dolphins today."
I thought about the dolphins eating the mullet and the birds eating the mullet and wondered . . . what will I eat today?
