THINKING ABOUT FATHERS
I think about all he does and how he loves and that he isn't even perfect.
And then I think about the One who is perfect and how he must love and all He does.
And then I wonder, maybe that's what a dad, who is wonderful but not perfect, is supposed to do.
Point us to the One who is.
"Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!" Matthew 7: 9-11

Hi Cheri!
ReplyDeleteI love this. I think you're right. I think, ideally, our fathers point us to the Father when they love us well, even in their imperfection. Thanks so much for linking up with The Sunday Community!
It is a true blessing to see the pictures and the open love of your heart and that of your family. Truly touching. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI was truly touched as I stopped by here today. Looking forward to coming back to read more of your story. God bless,
