This is the challenge for all of us that walk this pilgrimage of faith. Praising him in our lack as well as overflowing abundance. That is a familiar scripture. Happy Sunday to you Cheri.
Habakkuk remembered what God had done before (3:2). I think that is always how we praise Him when things are hard. We determine in our hearts before, and God is so good that He gives the grace to do it when the season comes.
Habakkuk is one of my favorite books and the verses are so truthful... and even though thousands of years ago when written, they often fit into our everydayness of our present life.
We truly have joy when we can see the beauty in the starkness!
ReplyDeleteAnd the beauty is there because He is there! Have a wonderful week.

ReplyDeleteYes. God gives and takes away but because of who He is, even in the taking, He is always giving.
DeleteThat's a tough one, isn't it? Somehow, seasons of no figs or blossoms teaches a lot about praise.
