"And everyday, no matter how bitter it be, I will say:
From tomorrow on, I shall be sad, but not today."
words of a young Jewish child of the Holocaust*
"I will be glad and rejoice in You;
I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High."
Psalm 9:2
* quote from the book Addiction and Grace by Gerald May MD
love this, rejoicing is a choice, the best choice!
ReplyDeleteI was going through a basket, looking for something else, when I found this quote. I had scribbled it on a little piece of paper while reading the book. It was found at the perfect time. With life pressing in on so many sides, it was good to be reminded that rejoicing in God is always a choice. And you are right. The best one. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteHi Cheri! I am coming from Still Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the simplicity of your post. That flower couldn't stretch it's petals any further, could it?? What joy there is in blooming, even in the horrid circumstances of the Holocaust. What a sober reminder that is.
So wonderful to meet you today!

It was a much needed reminder. There's a drop of water from the morning dew on a petal. It almost looks like a tear. So many times, joy is born during the moments of our greatest pain. Thanks for visiting. Looking forward to reading your words and thoughts!
DeleteWhat a great photo, quote and verse! I'm next to you at Deidra's.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elizabeth. Have a beautiful Sunday.
ReplyDeleteFrom the mouths of babes. Great reminder and terrific photo. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCheri,
ReplyDeleteThis was so beautiful--from the photo to the importance of praising the Lord in all situations, trusting Him to see us through. Visiting from Still Saturday and the Sunday Community.
Blessings,
Janis
